Mark Moran 08-06-06
Hello Family, I hope all is well with you! I wanted to give you all an update on our cousin Mark. We, Frank, Christina and Roman and I, visited with him and Ken yesterday at Craig Hospital and I wanted to report that he is really really looking well! He was up and walking around and was very excited to see us. He was very talkative and stated he was anxious to continue to work with speech therapy to improve his skills again. He was very appreciative of everyone’s concern for him and was aware of everyone’s prayers and thoughts. His biggest concern now is for his daughter ”Jazzy”. (Sorry, not sure of the spelling.)  She had an accident last week-end while visiting at Craig Hospital. A cinderblock wall outside the entrance, about 4 ft or so high, fell on her. It severed 3 of her fingers and she has lost them. She is still in Children’s Hospital and Ken relayed that she was battling an infection that caused her to be on a ventilator. He stated they were very concerned because her lungs were in trouble and they had to battle the infection quickly. He thought they might be removing the ventilator on Sunday, possibly, but it was ”touch and go” for awhile. We visited for a short while and then Ken was going to take Mark to Children’s Hospital to go see her. He thought he might be in Craig for approx another 3 weeks or so, possibly moving over to an area that is considered more of an “apartment” setting very soon.  He is anxious to get home to be with his children. Probably the most terrific news to come out of this visit, was that Mark explained that he has been praying to God and Jesus and realizes that he was given a second chance. He stated he knows that his “work is not done” here yet and is anxious to go to church. “Praise God!”. He seemed so excited and happy and it was very inspirational to all of us to see his enthusiasm, despite the circumstances that have arisen. We are very happy to see him doing so much better and I know you will all continue to keep Mark and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Take care Family, Love, Patty.  Â
